Clarence (Tom) Hasty:  

Life I married Virginia (Ginger) Le Roy, QHS Class of '53 in 1953; first daughter Karyn was born in 1954 during our Class of 1954's hectic graduation time. I started at UC Berkeley in 1954, dropped out for 2 years for Army service (Korean War veteran). Returned to Berkeley on the GI Bill and received my BSEE degree in 1961. Three more children were born during my college career. After graduation, I went into the aerospace industry; worked on Apollo moon rocket equipment (EECo, Beckman Corp.), airborne weapons radar (Hughes), early computer development, and electronic intelligence processing stuff for US government (Beckman Corp.). In 1968, I grew tired of aerospace, jumped into commercial electronics with the Silicon Valley pioneering Ampex Corporation in Redwood City CA. I retired from Ampex after 26 years, with varied jobs from design engineer, project/program manager, quality manager, plant manger, and then worldwide marketing of broadcast TV equipment.
